Kid's Camps 2010 Donegal and Sligo
5 Day Long Activity Camps - €180 (€40 for 1 Day)
|
The Turf Camp is 5 full days of fun and adventure. The camp runs from 9.30am until 4:30 Monday to Friday and involves surfing and beach games in the morning and team building and land activities in the afternoon.
Turf Camp will take place in 5 locations:
- Lissadel House
- Strandhill
- Rossnowlagh beach
- Bundoran
- Portnoo Beach
The kids are guaranteed to be running up the stairs to bed by 8pm. They'll be so tired.
A typical week is outlined below:
| Day 1 |
Morning: Introduction to Safe Surfing and initial surf lesson
Afternoon: Crystal Maze - Series of over 30 mental, physical and skill challenges set on 300 acres of splendid walks, lakes and forest. Fun Orienteering course through the forest, lakes and gardens.

| Day 2 |
Morning: Surf Lingo and Beach Activities as well as more surfing
Afternoon: Kayaking, water polo, water obstacle course, raft building and Raise the Flag |
| Day 3 |
Morning: Walk the Plank and Raft Building games as well as more surfing.
Afternoon: History/mystery. A day of exploration with history and mystery around every corner. |
| Day 4 |
Morning: Getting confident with your surfing? Learn how to headstand on your board.
Afternoon: River walk and barbecue. |
| Day 5 |
Morning: Surf Competition
Afternoon: Surfing, karaoke and presentation of awards and prizes. |
- All surf lessons are run by Irish Surfing Association approved instructors.
- All staff have beach lifeguards awards and safety training.
- We mix up our surf lessons with a variety of games in the water and on the beach depending on the kids.
- Wetsuits are provided.
- We teach our surf lessons with foam boards with soft fins so your kids are in safe hands.
All participants are recommended to bring suitable outdoor clothes (including towel and swimming suit) as well as a pack lunch.
The order of surfing and land activities may change depending on weather conditions.

The North Sligo (Streedagh / Lissadell House) 2010 Turf Camp takes place on the weeks beginning:

The Bundoran 2010 Surf Camp takes place on the weeks beginning:
